How to get on IRC

• Go to http://www.mirc.com/get.html and download mIRC
• Run the program - a box will popup saying you can use it for 30 days free then you need to register... Just ignore this, it's not true, you will never need to register
• In the options box that appears, choose Connect -> Servers, and click Add
• Add the following server information:
  • Description: NetGamers
  • IRC Server: irc.netgamers.org
  • Port: 6667
    Leave Group and Password blank
• Back in the Connect settings, enter your name and email address, and an IRC nickname and alternative.
• Click Connect to Server - you should connect to the NetGamers server.

If you don't want to enter all these settings, you can simply type in the status window: /server -m irc.netgamers.org each time you want to connect.

You don't have to pay...

The newer versions will occasionally only give you a choice of 'pay' or 'exit'... Just exit and run it again, most of the time you get to 'continue' on through...

Nice to speak to you again anyhow, although you won't remember a lowly player like me! :P

I just thought we may as well keep everything as close to the old EQ as possible, therefore reducing the workload and making it as good as it once was!
